II All-Russian Forum on community education development was conducted in Krasnoyarsk 7-10 November, 2006. The Forum was organized by KCCP.

Representatives of community schools and community school recourse centers from 20 regions of Russia, officials from regional education departments and international grant-giving foundations took active part in the work of the Forum.

During the plenary sessions and discussion groups the participants discussed the development of community schools in the context of the modern educational policy in Russia. In particular, the following topics were discussed: implementation of the state-public management in activities of schools; difficulties and perspectives of activization of the youth; democratization in modern conditions; specific character of community school model in educational establishments of different types.

The participants pointed to the significance of such events for the community education development in Russia. This event was a ground for an effective information exchange, discussion of ways of school and community democratization, presentation of innovative projects, contacts with officials of educational system from different regions. The Forum proved the necessity of effective collaboration between the state and communities for the sake of improving of the educational establishments.
