January 31, 2007 in Leninsk-Kuznetskiy awards will be given to the best benefactors and the best volunteers of educational institutions. The first awards were initiated by the city community schools in 2003. Today all kinds of educational institutions may compete for the awards irrespective of the level of community activism.

This year quite a number of educational institutions of the city of Leninsk-Kuznetskiy have tried out for the 2006 awards. The nominations include the Best Adult Volunteer, the Best Child Volunteer and the Best Benefactor 2006.

The selection board has chosen 10 representatives of enterprises of various forms of ownership, 13 students and 6 adult volunteers to be given commemoratives and letters of gratitude. The awards ceremony will be held on January 31 by the Mayor of the city.
