As annually, All-Russian volunteer actions have been conducted this year under the slogan “We create our future together!” In the frame work of these actions there are several major events:

Russian Youth Service Day — 22, April

Spring Week of Kindness — 21-28, April

International Volunteer Day — 5, December

The goal of All-Russian volunteer actions is to assist to strengthening of civic community, and consolidation of efforts of citizens, non-profit, state and commercial organizations in order to solve socially significant problems.

Over the last eight years community schools have participated in the spring volunteer actions in more than 60 Russian regions and other countries of the world.

Community schools conduct different actions during the Spring Week of Kindness: beautification of territories, round — table discussions on various topics, charity concerts in schools, kindergartens, orphanages, collection of things for those in need, competitions of drawings, poems, essays and many other actions. All the events are supported by representatives of business, local community, government and mass media.

In 2008 Russian community schools have focused their volunteer and social actions on the promotion of active families and family activism.

The community schools resource centers in various Russian regions have taken up the coordination of volunteer and social events. The list of community schools resource centers that have joined the Spring Week of Kindness in 2007 you will find here (available in Russian only).

As usual, Krasnoyarsk Center for Community Partnerships collects information from the regions to submit it to the Russian National Committee of the Spring Week of Kindness.
